3D Printing in Our Development Process

At CY:ONS, one of our cornerstone techniques in accelerating and enhancing e-bike development is 3D printing. This cutting-edge technology allows us to rapidly prototype and refine various components and designs, drastically speeding up our development cycle while enhancing the precision, functionality, and aesthetics of our e-bikes.

Enhancing Innovation, Efficiency, and Precision

3D printing integrates seamlessly into our development process, enabling us to create detailed prototypes and functional components swiftly. This capability not only supports our internal innovation efforts but also enhances our collaborative projects with partners, bringing cutting-edge e-bike designs from concept to reality with unprecedented speed and precision.

Here are four pivotal projects where 3D printing has played a crucial role:

1. Huyser: Showcasing at Velofollies 2024

In collaboration with Huyser, we utilized 3D printing to develop a prototype e-bike showcased at the prestigious Velofollies Exhibition 2024. This prototype served as a tangible representation of our innovative design, attracting attention and valuable feedback from industry professionals and potential customers.

2. Cixi: Pioneering Prototypes at Eurobike 2023

For our partner Cixi, we pushed the boundaries of 3D printing by crafting a prototype of their Rover 45 model in aluminum. This prototype was not only displayed but also test-driven at Eurobike 2023, showcasing both its aesthetic appeal and functional robustness.

3. Tzmann: Tailored Fit Solutions

Working with Tzmann on their Menomic line, we leveraged 3D printing to develop bike frames that are customized to fit the rider's specific body measurements. This personalized approach ensures optimal comfort and performance by aligning the bike's frame geometry perfectly with each rider's unique physique.

4. FLX: Ensuring Perfect Assembly with Weapon X

In partnership with FLX, we employed 3D printing to test the assembly of all suspension components for their Weapon X model. This method allowed us to verify the compatibility and functionality of each part prior to mass production, minimizing the risk of errors and guaranteeing a smooth assembly process.

Embracing Innovation

By incorporating 3D printing into our development strategy, CY:ONS continues to lead the charge in e-bike innovation. This technology not only shortens our prototyping and production timelines but also enables us to deliver highly customized, precise solutions to our partners. Through these innovative collaborations, we are setting new standards in the industry and bringing revolutionary e-bike designs to the market more efficiently and effectively than ever before.

Stay tuned as we continue to explore and expand the possibilities of 3D printing in our quest to redefine the future of cycling.
